Remember when...

I said I was teaching three preps? Just kidding, now I only have two. As of this past week. Yup. So they took my English 10 class 5th hour and moved the entire class to another teacher. Then, they gave me all new freshmen from all the teachers in order to lower our class sizes. Good times. All this while I got a nasty cold. The kind where you have snot everywhere and your voice is all man-ish. Fun stuff. So I had to introduce myself to a new set of kids with a man-ish kind of voice and snot going everywhere. Oh well. When I sat later and listened to some of my other classes they were all sniffling to, so I guess we all have it.

In any case, it's all good. I now just have the HS Success and then all English 9. It feels a little easier to plan and get ready so that is definitely good. It's a little redundant teaching the same thing four times in a row but they all seem to be a good group of kids so I don't mind. Of course my problem child is 6th hour, only because they talk all the time...

So far every 5th hour I watch some of my "old" kids walk by (the 10th graders who were moved) and they are NOT happy. They keep coming in my room and when the minute bell rings I have to kick them back out. They wander away sadly. I wonder if they liked me so much just for my personality or because they think I'm an easy teacher. I hope it's for my personality...
