Random things this week:
1. Eric called me at work to tell me I received a credit card offer from Visa. This offer was for an all black Visa card and "of course" only for the most "exclusive" of their clients. The catch? A $495 annual fee. For real?! Who pays that?! Eric circled the annual fee, wrote "HAHAHA" all over it and mailed it back.
2. One of the boys in my High School Success class was using my colored pencils, then threw them in the trash. I admonished him for this behavior. His response? "They're only colored pencils, they're only like $1." I took his hat off his desk, threw it in my box of recycling and didn't give it back for a day.
3. I was watching a boy and girl semi-running down the hallway in between class. The boy tripped the girl, then pushed her. She was laughing and caught herself, then ran to her class. I yelled over to the boy to be nice. He responded that they were flirting and seemed defensive. I yelled back "What?! Then flirt like a gentleman, don't injure her in the process!" He seemed stunned by this, then grinned and said he'd do better next time.
4. I was giving literary term notes to period 5. To keep them entertained I tell random stories such as "in college, don't decide to live off pop tarts as a main food staple. It makes you fat." The boy in the front row then asked, "so you were fat in college?" Hahaaaa. I responded with, "fattER than now."
5. Do not stash Oreo Cakesters in your desk at work. Eeeevil. They are so yummy I started eating two each day during my prep hour (9:30am) until I reached in and they were gone. It almost ruined my day not to find any more.
