Serious, then not so serious

Just when you think you've got stuff under control, you have a total breakdown. Luckily, I have a mama who loves me very much and will sit with me on the phone until I'm better.

I left school Wednesday, and all of the sudden the realization it was Thanksgiving without Dad hit me. I cried all the way home.

I thought I was okay then. But later, Eric went to bed because he wasn't feeling well (we've been transferring this cold back and forth to each other, so it's never going away I think...). The turkey was thawing in the ice chest with water and I was making stuffing all by myself. And I totally started bawling. And it's always the dumb stuff that triggers it (ie, I can't remember what all goes into the stuffing and it's my second time making it without Mom here). Meeeemmmooorriiiieeees. Anyway, I talked with Mom and she had me put on the best holiday movie ever (Meet me in St. Lois). Then I felt better. Thanks Mom!!!!

So, on a lighter note, we had Eric's Mom, Garrett and Georgia over for Thanksgiving. It was fun! Everyone brought something so we didn't have to do all the cooking. Mmm..such good food.

Today, Eric is paintballing. I pulled out my gingerbread holiday houses to put up. And had a blond moment. I found that one gingerbread house HAS A TREE WITH IT!!!! I've owned it for 3 years now. And I just discovered it wrapped in the box. What the heck?!?! It was like opening a new gift. I'm so excited. I then discovered under the tree in the box is some fake snow!!! I'm a little apprehesive to put that out though. One, it could be really messy to clean up. Two, we've both been sneezing a ton, and I can totally see one of us sneezing by it and the snow flying everywhere. It does look tempting though to put out...

I'm now eating pumpkin pie...mmmm....
